Talent: Executive Turnover on the Rise

May 14, 2012

By: Randy Samsel

In a recent wall Street Journal article, executive turnover was trending dramatically higher. The article quoted trends from Liberum Research and commented that the turnover rate has accelerated in the last 12-14 months. While the causes for this turnover vary, the trend itself is worth noting.

What are you doing to retain your talented executives? What are you doing to attract new executives? How will you compete for top talent?

For those who have a Talent strategy in place, you may already have answers for those questions. If not, there is no time like the present. Think about how you will identify, attract, hire, develop and retain your talented executives. Do you have a pipeline of talent to draw on?

The best way to ensure you have the talent you need is to develop and execute a Talent Strategy – and execute on the strategy. Then you will be prepared if Executive turnover hits you.
