Rule # 2
Recently I talked with a job seeker who told me an interview horror story. He said he applied for a role that seemed like a great fit and was asked to come in for an interview. After a one hour drive to the company location, in rush hour traffic, the HR manager told him “Oh, I guess I should have looked at your resume before asking you in. Your experience does not fit at all,” and sent him on his way. We have to do better. Jobseekers are people and deserve respect and consideration. Each will land a new role and will tell everyone they know about the experiences they have – good, bad and ugly.
